The South Bank Precinct is located in the heart of Brisbane, the sub-tropical capital of Queensland.

Cosmopolitan Brisbane, with its sophisticated but relaxed lifestyle, is the closest capital city to many of Australia's most visited attractions. These include both the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast, with the golden beaches, trendy cafes and shopping. The greatest natural wonder of the world - the Great Barrier Reef is only a brief plane ride away.

Brisbane City has more than 13,000 rooms ranging from leading hotels to serviced apartments. Brisbane has 35 hotels within a 5 km radius of the Exhibition Centre.

The Centre is conveniently located in the downtown Brisbane area in the heart of the South Bank Precinct and can easily be accessed by car and public transport.

Transport options include:

  • The South Brisbane Train Station is located alongside the Exhibition Centre, providing fast and direct access to the International and Domestic airports (via Brisbane's Airtrain), hotels and the Gold Coast.
  • Brisbane's famous City Cat Ferries - cruise the Brisbane River and depart from dedicated access points every 30 minutes and every 20 minutes during peak hour. The nearest CityCat terminal is located at South Bank, a short stroll from the Centre.
  • There is a bus way station located within easy walking distance to the Centre.
  • The Centre has its own dedicated taxi rank and secure undercover car park providing 1600 car park spaces, 24 hours a day.
